Top 5 Gyms in Vienna with Free Trial or Cheap Day Passes

Before I wander off to explore gyms in faraway places, I figured it makes sense to start where I actually know my way around — my hometown, Vienna. So, here is a list of my top 5 gyms in Vienna to break a sweat without breaking the bank.

If you’re a traveler passing through this beautiful city and you want to balance schnitzel with squats, you’re in luck: Vienna has plenty of gyms that welcome visitors, even if you’re just dropping in for a day or two.

I have a membership at Speedfit, and before committing, I went for the classic “first date” approach — a free trial session. I wanted to see if the vibe matched my fitness mood: not too intense, not too chill, just the right kind of “do I feel weird doing squats here?” That experience got me thinking: trying out different gyms while traveling (either for free or just a few euros) is actually a great way to stay active and explore local spots that aren’t on every tourist map. Also, you might even get a sauna or some wellness out of it.

P.S. At the end of the post, you’ll find a handy map to help you easily locate these gyms around Vienna.

1. Speedfit – Affordable Fitness Access

First up, your no-nonsense, budget-friendly gym with free trial sessions. Clean, modern, and efficient — it simply gets the job done.
