Hey there! I’m Tamara, a lifelong sports enthusiast from Vienna.
I’ve tried many different sports over the years, and I soon realized that getting and staying fit was all about strength training for me (plus a bit of cardio). But let’s rewind a bit—during my teenage years, I had a classic brain fart when I signed up for surfing lessons at Millstätter See, only to find out they meant windsurfing (whoops!).
It wasn’t until three years ago, when I went to my first surf camp in Portugal, that my love for surfing truly began. Since then, I’ve been chasing waves wherever I can—whether it’s in the ocean, on a river, or even in a pool. Of course, living in Vienna means I don’t exactly have surf spots on my doorstep, but that’s part of the fun of it all! Through my surf travels, I’ve really come to appreciate how important it is to stay fit on the move—whether through surf sessions, gym routines, bodyweight exercises, or just figuring out how to stay healthy while eating way too many airport snacks and exploring new cuisines.
